You know, back in our day, we would’ve imagined a digital cookbook being some virtual, possibly animated version of… you know, a book with recipes in it. These days kids and their fancy rock and roll cooking shows have taken over, and Belling’s new Media Chef digital cookbook — which looks like a glorified digital photo frame — actually houses 48 cooking instructional videos from chef Brian Turner for playback on its 8-inch screen. Brian can be harnessed with an included compact remote control, and the unit can also act as a general media player, calendar and photo frame. It retails for $271 but we’re not sure when.

Sweet Wreck!

So, I just saw what was probably the coolest wreck of my life. I was waiting patiently at a stop sign, while the car in front of me had the itch to just floor it. Well, that did not work out to well for the 1992 Honda Accord with Rancid stickers plastered all over the bumper. I just sat there and smiled as I saw a 1/4 ton Nissan Titan getting ready to ram the Accord. I guess I felt sorry for the nice truck hitting such a piece of crap car, especially since it wasn’t even his fault.

I am just pissed at myself for not snapping a picture! People are such ding-dongs these days.

Lamborghini Reventón

There are very few words that can describe this fine vehicle. From the moment I saw it, it has struck my heart strings. If only I had $1 Million to burn on a car. Well, $1 million for anything actually! Here is a little background behind the name of the car:

The Reventón is named after a fighting bull in keeping with Lamborghini tradition. The bull, raised by the don Heriberto Rodríguez family, was best known for killing famed bullfighter Félix Guzmán in 1943. Reventón means “explosion” or “burst” in Spanish, when used as a noun. In the vernacular, it is also used to define a very large party or a night on the town. It’s commonly said “vámonos de reventón”, which means “let’s go party tonight.” In automotive terms, it means “blowout, flat tire” when used as a noun. When it was used as the name of a bull, however, it was intended to be interpreted as an adjective, a quality or property of that bull in particular. In this last sense, Reventón means “he who seems to be about to burst”.
